Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Thursday. February 18th. The 5th day of the Hebraic week.
Our verse today is Matthew 6:10
Continuing with our look at the Lord’s prayer, today we look at verse 10. It’s obvious to see that this is all about YHWH’s kingdom. His and His alone. Do you live your life for YHWH’s kingdom? Sounds like a silly question right? Yet, let’s think about it.
In His kingdom, everything will be ran just as He desires. It will be completely under His rule and authority. Every decision that is made will be in accordance to His will. Now, that being said, do you focus your decisions of life based on what He wants?
Think about it. Do we focus our choices based on what He wants for our lives or on what we want for our lives. Do we ever stop and think “Is this what YHWH wants me to do?” Sometimes it seems we can get stuck in making big choices because we’re not sure what He wants. While at the same time, we go right along in making those “small” decisions because they don’t really matter right? But what if they do?
How many times have we heard people refer to John 15:5 that says without Him we can do nothing. But they move right along in life making decisions and never even thinking “Does He really want me to do this?”
The bottom line here is that our decisions in life need to be funneled through Him. Just because you “can” do something, doesn’t mean you “should” do something. Remember, we want His will done on earth as it is in Heaven. Ultimately, there is only one way we can make this happen on earth. That is by making it happen in our lives.
Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
