Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Sunday. February 7th. The 1st day of the Hebraic week.
Our verse today is Galatians 5:25
Walking in the Spirit is not a phrase you hear very often. I’m talking even among believers. Oh we hear it, don’t get me wrong. Yet, it just seems that this is something we should be talking about a little more often than not.
Walking in the Spirit is not something we should just casually do when it’s convenient or an event we plan out on our calendar. It’s a lifestyle. It’s choosing to have ourselves always listening to what He says to our hearts. But not just listening, but doing as well.
This is truly important. Yashua Himself said to all seven churches in Revelation “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” He didn’t say, “He who has a Torah scroll, start reading.” He didn’t say “He who has the prophets, find out what’s coming next.” No… He said “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
The Spirit makes everything personal for us. He speaks to our hearts. Everything He says to us will line up with the Torah and the Prophets. How much quiet time do you give yourself to listen to the Spirit? Odds are, the Spirit is not going to yell at us to get our attention. We have to make that time for him. To walk with Him everyday.
Talking about the Spirit is one thing. Walking with Him is another.
Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
