Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Monday. February 8th. The 2nd day of the Hebraic week.
Our verse today is Ps 38: 21.
We’ve all read verses like this before. And we’ve all been in this kind of circumstance before as well. Those times when you feel you can’t get any lower. Only to find sometimes you actually could. Those times when all hope seems out the window and YHWH is your last option.
But I can’t help but wonder how few a times these situations would even come in our lives if we didn’t make YHWH our last option. Listen to the verse again…
How far away would He really be if we didn’t make him our last option? If we made Him the first one we seek in the morning, good times or bad, do we really think He will be far away?
Most often, not always of course, but more times than not those times of Him feeling far away can actually come from us being the one who wondered off.
Grant it, there will always be those times when we are tested in our faith. We just have to make sure that it’s not us who needs to come back to Him when we ask for Him to not be far off.
Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
