Don’t be lacking – Mark 10:21

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Mark 10:21
Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

To get the full story here, let’s read a little more.

Mark 10:22
At this the man’s face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth. Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”

It’s not a sin for you to have wealth. That’s not the problem. The problem comes when you let the wealth have you. Some people just aren’t equipped to have wealth. That’s not a cut down. It simply shows He’s gifted you in other areas. As in the parable of the servants with the talents, we are accountable to what He gives us. So are you pursuing the gift of someone else or are you trying to walk in that which He gave you? Remember, earthly wealth is nice to have, but it’s the spiritual wealth we all need. And that’s something we all can attain.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout today. Until next time, Shalom
