Faith and Love – Philemon 4-5

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Philemon 4-5
I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I hear about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints.

What an awesome thing to be said about someone. Think about it for a minute. Could this be said about you? When others think of you, what comes to their mind about your faith? Do you only have faith in the good times? How do you handle the hard times? Or do you allow them to handle you?

When others think of you, what do they think of regarding your love for all the saints? Do you only love those who love you? As Yeshua said, even the pagans do that. I agree that we are not to live our lives in accordance to what others may think of us but rather to what YHWH knows about us. Yet, that should be all the more of a reason for us to examine our lives in these areas. When YHWH looks at us, what does He think about our faith and our love for others?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.

Here's something interesting to consider:
