Following the Messiah – 1 Timothy 1:8

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 Timothy 1:8
We know that the law is good if one uses it properly.

This must have been one of those verses that went through one ear and out the other for many of us back in the day. I mean think about it. Most of us were told the law was done away with when Yeshua died on the cross. Yet, here we see Paul saying how the law was a good thing if it’s used right. The guy who so many uses to say the law is done away with says the law is good if used right.

And this is where much of the confusion is brought in. There were many who tried to use elements of the law in a negative way. They would say certain elements of the law was required for salvation. And that’s where many still miss it. The law does not provide salvation. One cannot obey the law for salvation. It was never designed to save. Never. However, one who chooses to follow after our messiah will prove it by following His example in pursuing the law.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!

Here's something interesting to consider:
