Rewards – Hebrews 11:6

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

The verse says “he rewards those who earnestly seek him”. It doesn’t say who casually seek Him. It doesn’t say who conveniently seeks Him. It doesn’t say who seeks Him once a week.

Now, to be fair, the word “earnestly” is not in the Greek. However, the word for seek is not an ordinary word for seek either. It’s a word that implies more than just looking for. It actually implies to look for with passion. Which, I believe, should make all of us examine our lives closely. We should ask ourselves what word describes how we are seeking the Father in our lives.

No one knows this better than you besides YHWH Himself. So how much passion drives your seeking of the Father? How hard do you pursue after His truth? Our verse implies that He rewards those who not just seek Him, but seek Him with a burning zeal.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
