Righteous Decrees & Laws – Deuteronomy 4:8

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Deuteronomy 4:8
And what other nation is so great as to have such righteous decrees and laws as this body of laws I am setting before you today?

What an incredible verse. However, it’s a verse you rarely hear preached on. In fact, I don’t recall ever hearing a message preached on it. Yet, this verse makes a statement that seems to be overlooked by believers around the world. Listen to it again.

“And what other nation is so great as to have such righteous decrees and laws as this body of laws I am setting before you today?” His laws and decrees were declared righteous here. So then, when did YHWH’s righteous decrees and laws become unrighteous?

Well, they didn’t. They are just as righteous today as they were back then. When the Jews were unable to follow all of those laws and decrees in Babylon, they were still just as righteous as they had been before. And likewise today. Though we may not be able follow all of those laws today like the Jews in Babylon, they are still just as righteous today as they were back then.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
