3 Things – Romans 12:9

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Romans 12:9
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

Here are three statements in one verse. Three statements that can truly impact your life if they are lived out. Three statements that can also impact the lives of others… if you live them out.

First it says love must be sincere. In other words, it must be real, genuine, and true. Not something that gives lip service only. But rather something that is followed by much more in action and not words only.

Then it tells us to hate what is evil. In other words, we must despise everything that is evil. That means to not tolerate it in any amount of measure. To make it something that we literally can’t bear to be around.

Lastly, it tells us cling to what is good. To make it something we naturally hold on to. To grab a hold of it with a determination to never let it go.

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Think about it. Pray about it.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
