Trust – Proverbs 3:5-6

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in YHVH with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Trusting in YHWH sounds easy but lets face it, sometimes it can be difficult. It forces us to not trust our understanding of things. That can be such a disconnect for us at times. To abandon our understanding is something that just doesn’t come naturally. If He tells you to do something that goes against what others say or even what you may feel is just not right, do you trust your own understanding or obey Him?

Consider the story of Gideon in Judges chapter 6. Everything about his life told him he was nothing. But he trusted YHWH instead of his understanding. Then YHWH did great things through him. You see, when we acknowledge Him first in our life, regardless of what our human understanding says to our heart, He will truly direct our paths. Then His peace will guard our hearts regardless of what the world is telling us what to say, feel or act.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout today. Until tomorrow. Shalom.
