Viewpoint – Proverbs 7:4-5

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Proverbs 7:4
Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and call understanding your kinsman; they will keep you from the adulteress, from the wayward wife with her seductive words.

These two verses tell us how to avoid a bad story line from happening in our own lives. It all starts with perspective. That perspective is in how we view wisdom and understanding. We are encouraged to consider them like family. In today’s world the family has been torn apart. So it’s hard for some to value that perspective. But the family is designed to be the strongest unit in the world. That’s why it’s attacked the hardest form the enemy.

So, Solomon is saying here that wisdom and understanding will never lead you astray. In fact, they will protect you and give the advice needed to overcome whatever comes your way.

So, do you view wisdom and understanding as a blessing that are there to protect you? Or do you view them as nuisance only trying to keep you from having fun in this world? What’s your view of wisdom and understanding?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout today. Until next time, Shalom.
