The Battle – 2 Chronicles 20:15

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

2 Chronicles 20:15
He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what YHWH says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.'”

How easy it can be to look at circumstances in our lives and be discouraged or afraid. We’ve all been there and you might be there right now. Yet, we belong to YHWH. He knows how to take care of His own.

Discouragement and fear can be powerful forces if we allow them to be. They’re like weeds. If they aren’t kept in check, they can overrun any garden or lawn. They’ll choke out everything around them. They can dominate our thoughts if they are allowed to. So the question for us here is “Are we allowing discouragement and fear to dominate our thoughts?”

Fear takes our focus off of YHWH. In fact, that’s the plan of the enemy. Don’t give in to the tactics of the enemy. Don’t focus more on the problems you are facing. Focus on the one who can solve those problems?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
