Thrive – Romans 15:13

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Notice the words “… the God of hope…” YHWH is the God of hope. In the midst hard times, He’s the God of hope. In the midst devastation, He’s the God of hope. In the midst of natural, national, or personal disaster, He is the God of hope.

He is the one who fills us with joy and peace as we trust in Him. That joy and peace comes when we trust in Him. When we trust in the one who is noted as the God of hope. When we trust in Him, our hearts will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

What I love about this verse is that it shows that it’s not just hope and peace that we can have in hard times. It shows He gives us joy in those times just the same. So, it’s not just “coping” through hard times, we can rejoice in hard times. So, we don’t just survive, we can thrive through hard times.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
