Seeking Him – 2 Chronicles 26:3-5

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

2 Chronicles 26:3-5
Uzziah was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. His mother’s name was Jecoliah; she was from Jerusalem. He did what was right in the eyes of YHWH, just as his father Amaziah had done. He sought God during the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear of God. As long as he sought YHWH, God gave him success.

Success is defined by the one seeking it. You can succeed at your job. You can succeed in your finances. You can succeed in attaining your ambitions in life. But are you succeeding in your walk with YHWH?

When we seek after YHWH, He will grant us success. A life style that seeks after YHWH is in itself, success. But here is the thing. Many take this verse and say that because they are succeeding in this or that, they are therefore properly seeking after YHWH. Can that really be true?

No. Certain success does not guarantee you are seeking YHWH. Yet, if you are seeking YHWH, you will succeed. Don’t let “success” be your gauge though. Let the question always be, “Am I seeking Him?”

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
