Angelic – Acts 6:15

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Acts 6:15
All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel.

We know this verse comes right after Stephen was being falsely accused. Think about that for a second. His face is looking like that of an angel after being falsely accused. It wasn’t red from anger. It wasn’t filled with bitterness in plotting revenge. It looked like the face of an angel.

Wow. I mean wow. Can you do that? Can you keep your composure after being attacked like that? Or are you quick to defend yourself? Quick to defend that you’re “right?” Is it wrong to defend yourself? Of course not. Yet, it’s the attitude in which we do so that needs to be kept in check.

Stephen kept what I call the “3 C’s”. Calm, cool and collective. He didn’t let what others say about him deter him from his mission. He didn’t let what others said about him get under his skin if you will. He knew we are not responsible for what others do. We are responsible for our reactions to them.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
