Perspective – Psalm. 90:4

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Psalm. 90:4
For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a
watch in the night.

This is where Peter gets his reference for when he says in 2 Peter 3:8…

2 Peter 3:8
“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.”

One night our family was sitting at the table eating tacos. It was Taco Tuesday. (which we love by the way) Out of the clear blue, my son says. “Man! Just think of it. A thousand years is a day to YHWH. That would take forever to get to Taco Tuesday!”

The funny thing is, in the eyes of YHWH, “Taco Tuesday” is hardly even a day away from Monday. YHWH is not confined to the realm of time like we are. I know that’s hard to imagine. It is for me anyway. But may we never forget, in view of eternity, the life we live is not worth losing out with YHWH. Why lose the eternal for the temporal. It’s all about perspective

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
