Trusting – Psalm 62:8

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Psalm 62:8
Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Selah

“Trust in him at all times.” Talk about a phrase that is easier said than done. It’s easy to “trust” in Him when things are going OK. And we all like to think that we trust in YHWH, until we go through something hard and reality sets in. Yet, it’s during those hard times that we actually learn to trust YHWH.

It’s difficult to learn to trust Him when there is no need to trust him. When everything is going good, it’s so easy to forget to think of Him as our provider. Oh, we know He is. But all too often we are tempted to focus on blessings and not the blesser.

It’s only in those times of need and even desperation that we are forced to teach ourselves to trust in Him. To humble ourselves and remember that He is truly our only refuge. May we never forget that. It will make life much easier in those hard times.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
