Questions – Deuteronomy 7:22-23

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Deuteronomy 7:22-23
YHWH your God will drive out those nations before you, little by little. You will not be allowed to eliminate them all at once, or the wild animals will multiply around you. 23 But YHWH your God will deliver them over to you, throwing them into great confusion until they are destroyed.

Interesting isn’t it? YHWH wouldn’t let them conquer all the nations at once but rather little by little over time. The funny thing to me is the reason as to why this was to happen. It was because the wild animals would multiply around them.

Now I’m not exactly sure how sure how your mind works, but mine immediately thinks “Well, if He could make them defeat the nations to conquer the land, why couldn’t He just enable them to kill the animals as well? Or He, Himself, make the wild animals migrate to other places till the Israelites were more numerous?”

While I’m sure there are several good reasons why He wouldn’t do that, I can’t help but wonder how many questions are in our lives that we may not always fully understand.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
