Production – Hebrews 6:7-8

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Hebrews 6:7-8
Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. 8 But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.

So, what kind of land are you? What are you producing? Before you answer too quickly, we need to ask ourselves what we are to be producing in YHWH. Is it useful to Him? The verse says “a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed.” We may think we are producing something. And we may very well be. But the question is if it is useful to YHWH?

Because if it’s not useful to Him, it may as well be thorns. That’s right. Thorns. Now, none of us wants to think we are producing thorns. Yet, what we think truly doesn’t matter. This is no small thing. This is actually quite serious. May we never let a day go by that we aren’t mindful of our production.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
