Avoid the Storm – Proverbs 1:24-27

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Proverbs 1:24-27
But since you rejected me when I called and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand, since you ignored all my advice and would not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh at your disaster; I will mock when calamity overtakes you — when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you.

We know from 1 Corinthians 1:30 that Wisdom is in essence Yeshua. That being said, verse 26 says He will laugh at their disaster. He will mock when calamity overtakes them.

When would Yeshua ever laugh at someone. It will be when judgement falls. When people reap what they have sown. Verse 27 says it will overtake them like a storm. Like a whirlwind. Distress and trouble will overwhelm them. When do we see judgement like a storm or a whirlwind in prophecy?

Jeremiah 23:19
See, the storm of YHWH will burst out in wrath, a whirlwind swirling down on the heads of the wicked.

Are you rejecting what Yeshua is speaking to your heart? If so, please consider the consequences before you continue on that path.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout today. Until next time, Shalom
