Be a Blessing – Proverbs 10:7

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Proverbs 10:7
The memory of the righteous will be a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.

This being the case, how do you want to be remembered? Do you want the memory others have of you to be a blessing? Of course you do. We all do. We all like to be thought of in a positive light. So how much more do we want the memory of us, after we are gone, to be a blessing just the same?

Here’s the thing. We must take note that our verse says “The memory of the righteous will be a blessing.” It doesn’t say the memory of a nice person will be a blessing. Neither does it say it of a kind or generous person. Though, there is no doubt those people will be well thought of after they are gone, our verse discusses the memory being a blessing.

If we want the memory of us to be a blessing to others, we need to focus on living the righteous life the Father has called us to. Let your life be a blessing to others even after you are gone.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
