Be Still and Know – Psalms 46:10

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Psalms 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

First we see “Be still”. Once we get up and get moving in the morning, what do we do? We normally start thinking of all the things we have to get done that day. It’s a fast paced world that we live in and it’s easy to get caught up in the fast lane of life. So we need to make sure that we put “Be still” at the top of our “to do” list. Then put it in parenthesis behind all the following items on that list as well.

Second we see “know that I am God.” Easy right? Until something happens in your life and suddenly you want to take the reins over. Let Him have His way. He knows how to take care of His own. He doesn’t need your help in forcing something to happen or forcing a vendetta.

Our verse again. Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
