The Best Weapon – Numbers 14:39-43

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Numbers 14:39-43
When Moses reported this to all the Israelites, they mourned bitterly. Early the next morning they went up toward the high hill country. “We have sinned,” they said. “We will go up to the place YHWH promised.” But Moses said, “Why are you disobeying YHWH’s command? This will not succeed! Do not go up, because YHWH is not with you. You will be defeated by your enemies, for the Amalekites and Canaanites will face you there. Because you have turned away from YHWH, he will not be with you and you will fall by the sword.”

There is much to be said for obedience. Having cool weapons in your hand is only a false sense of security if YHWH is not with you. Our focus in life should be to make sure we are following after the instructions of YHWH. Otherwise, we are just going to be defeated like the Israelites were after their disobedience in here in Numbers 14.

Physical weapons will prove meaningless in the hands of believers if those believers are in rebellion to YHWH.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
