Blessed – Revelation 1:3

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Revelation 1:3
Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

This verse doesn’t say “Blessed are those who read and understand these words.” It doesn’t say “Blessed are those who read and can explain these words.” Neither does it say “Blessed are those who read these words and can fathom all the mysteries that surround these words.”

Nope. Nothing like that at all. It gives three reasons for being blessed here. Reading the words, hearing the words, and taking them to heart. That’s it. You don’t have to understand them. You don’t have to fully comprehend how they all fit together with the prophets to be blessed by them.

So don’t be scared to read Revelation because it seems so deep. I’ve yet to meet anyone who truly understands it all. He’ll give us the understanding in due time. It might even be when it actually takes place. But at least then you’ll know, where many others who avoided the book will have no idea.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
