I Can’t Go For That – 1 Kings 18:21

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 Kings 18:21
Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If YHWH is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.”

When it comes right down to it, we’re either serving YHWH or we’re serving another. He will have it no other way. So now we have to ask ourselves just who we’re serving. Obviously, everybody who claims to be a believer already believes they’re serving YHWH. Yet, are we that naive to believe this to be the case? Of course not.

So what are we to do? Just go on living our lives thinking it’s everyone else who needs to get their hearts right? Hardly. This call from Elijah goes out to all of us today just as much as it did when he first said it. We all need to examine our ways on a daily basis. On an hourly basis. In fact, I’d say we need to keep our hearts in check minute by minute. Make it a point that everything you do, say and even think points to the Father and no one else.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom!
