Changed Heart – Genesis 44:33-34

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Genesis 44:33
Now then, please let your servant remain here as my lord’s slave in place of the boy, and let the boy return with his brothers. 34 How can I go back to my father if the boy is not with me? No! Do not let me see the misery that would come upon my father.

This is the time where Joseph had just declared that Benjamin would be kept as prisoner in Egypt and the rest of his brothers would be let go. Judah pleads for the boys life and even offers his life in exchange. Interesting isn’t it? It was in Genesis 37:26-27 where we see it was Judah’s idea to sell Joseph as a slave. Yet, here we see a complete turn around in Judah. He’s now the one willing to be a slave for the sake of Benjamin and his father.

We know that people change over time. We pray that change is always for the good. So how about you? Have you changed for the good over time? It’s never too late to start.
