Covenant of Love – Deuteronomy 7:12

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Deuteronomy 7:12
If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then YHWH your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your forefathers.

So, it’s a covenant of love. Question. If it’s a covenant of love, why do so many call it bondage? Why do so many call it the Law of Sin and Death? YHWH gave it out of love for His people. We know that YHWH doesn’t change. If He called it love here in Deuteronomy, why would He call it anything different now? Well, He wouldn’t.

There are several “laws” referred to in the scriptures. The problem is that many confuse these laws between each of them. It’s up to us to do our due diligence in rightly dividing the Word to make sure we let the scriptures give the proper definitions to that which is given to us.

YHWH gave His people a covenant. It was all about protecting His people. It was all about providing for His people. It was all about loving His people.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
