Division – Matthew 10:34-36

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Matthew 10:34-36
Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn “a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law – a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.”

These are some pretty strong words from Yeshua. Though unity is something we should all seek after, it’s Truth that we should be united in. We can’t sacrifice truth for the sake of unity. Yet that is what many do.

Our ministry has spoken to many people who have spouses or family members who have completely rejected them and even cut them off from their lives because they are now pursuing the truth. This is truly sad. Yet, according to the words of Yeshua, something we should not be surprised at. If you are in this situation, please know our hearts go out to you. Please know you are not alone.

If you are not in this situation, we ask you to remember those who are and keep them in prayer.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
