The Duty of Man – Ecclesiastes 12:13

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Ecclesiastes 12:13
Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole [duty] of man.

Well, that says it all right there. Our whole life will be tested to this. Our whole life will be weighed in the balances to how well we feared YHWH and Kept His commands. Not on how well we talked about them. Not on how well we preached to others about them. Rather, on how well we lived them.

Thinking of doing something is one thing, but following through with that thought is a different ball game. Saying you love someone is great, but how will they know you love them if you don’t prove that love by your actions? If we claim we love YHWH, then we need to follow through and show our love by keeping His commands.

If we walk in His commands, then we are truly walking in life. That’s what His commands are. They are life. Do you make your priorities in life to fear YHWH and obey His commands?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
