False Prophets – Luke 6:26

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Luke 6:26
Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets.

OK. I have a confession. I’ve never had a problem going against the popular mainstream belief of others in the faith. Not that I looked for it. Not at all. I’ve just really never cared about popularity in the faith.

Deep down, nobody wants evil spoken of them. In fact, I believe it’s simply a natural trait in all of us, to a certain degree, to want to be liked by as many people as we can. Yet, we aren’t to live our lives according to what others think of us. We’re supposed to live our lives according to what YHWH knows of us.

What about you? Why do you believe what you believe? If you disagree with something that the majority of believers hold to, are you willing to speak your concern on it? While we shouldn’t try to make people speak bad of us, if all we ever get is people speaking well of us, maybe it’s time for a self examination.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
