Following – 1 Corinthians 11:1

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 Corinthians 11:1
Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

Well, there ya have it. Paul declares that he was following the example of Yeshua and encouraged the church of Corinth to follow his example as he did so. So the question is, are we following his example?

Well, what specifically does that mean? I mean, let’s face it, most all believers claim they are living like Yeshua. So if Paul said that he was following Yeshua’s example, what kind of example would that be? What kind of life did Paul live to declare that he was following Yeshua’s example?

In Acts 21 we read where people heard false reports that said Paul was teaching Jews to abandon their traditions. Consider verse 24 to see what was done to prove those reports were wrong.

Acts 21:24
Take these men, join in their purification rites and pay their expenses, so that they can have their heads shaved. Then everybody will know there is no truth in these reports about you, but that you yourself are living in obedience to the law.

He was living in obedience to the Law.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
