Good Lives – 1 Peter 2:12

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 Peter 2:12
Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

No matter how hard you may try, you can’t please everyone. That’s all there is too it. And while we can’t let what others think of of us dictate how we live, this verse makes it pretty clear that we should be focused on doing what is right regardless of what people think.

People can, and will, disagree with you on multiple topics and issues. And that’s OK. In fact, that’s how we all learn and grow. Yet, it’s how we disagree on these topics that can be an element if we are living a good life among the pagans. Unbelievers are watching. Always watching. How we treat one another can be a big deterrent to them coming to the faith. While I agree that they will be held accountable for their own actions, I hate to think that how I treated a fellow believer was a possible reason for them not choosing to walk in the faith.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
