Growing – 2 Thessalonians 1:3

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

2 Thessalonians 1:3
We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing.

Is your faith growing? How do you know? Are you basing that growth on your increased knowledge of the scriptures? Is that what we should call growth in the faith? Or should it be growth in our obedience to the knowledge of the scriptures. If that is the case, what is the difference in you today from one year ago? What are you doing differently in the faith today from what you did back then?

Then we also have to ask ourselves if our love for our brothers and sisters in the faith has grown as well. This always seems to be the topic that so many want to just gloss right over. Why? Because it’s the most difficult. Loving others is a task that truly is a daily job. Just remember, it goes both ways. You may be difficult for someone else to love. Yet, is your faith growing?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
