Healed to Serve – Mark 1:30-31

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Mark 1:30-31
Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they told Jesus about her. So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them.

What a great testimony. The moment she was healed, she started serving. She didn’t wait to be asked. She saw a need and immediately filled it.

How about you? Do you wait to be asked to do something? Or do you look for where you can serve? If there’s one thing we all can do, it’s serve. Doesn’t matter where we are, where we’re going or where we think we’re going. We can all serve. And sometimes the little things can really make a big difference. Something you may think is small and insignificant may actually be just what another person needs in order to know someone else cares.

Never underestimate the power of the little things. Seriously. Maybe it’s a kind word or a kind gesture. Regardless of how small you may think it is, it may be much larger than you believe.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
