Knowing God – 1 John 4:7-8

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 John 4:7
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Showing love to others is how we show we know God. So, do you know God? Are you proving it in the way you live? We can say we love God all we want. However, it doesn’t mean a thing until you are truly proving it in the way you treat others. Loving those who love you is easy. But what about loving those who don’t show love to you? Can you do that?

This is where the true test comes into play. If we can’t do this, it’s proving we are only talk and no action. Showing us to be a hypocrite. Willing to receive love and forgiveness but not willing to give it. Is that you? How are you at giving love to those who aren’t giving love to you? Is there room for improvement?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
