Learn to Trust – Exodus 5:19-21

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Exodus 5:19
The Israelite foremen realized they were in trouble when they were told, “You are not to reduce the number of bricks required of you for each day.” 20 When they left Pharaoh, they found Moses and Aaron waiting to meet them, 21 and they said, “May YHWH look upon you and judge you! You have made us a stench to Pharaoh and his officials and have put a sword in their hand to kill us.”

The Israelite foremen were just told they had to make the same amount of bricks while now collecting their own straw for the work. This came as a result of Moses going to Pharaoh to set the Israelites free. We can’t forget that it was just one chapter before where we read the Israelites were thankful that YHWH sent Moses out of concern for them. Yet, suddenly they see things not quite working out how they anticipated.

Ever had that before? Ever think everything was going good and suddenly the rug is pulled out from under your feet? It’s in those times we learn to trust.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
