March 13

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Sunday. March 13th. The 1st day of the Hebraic week.

Our verse today is 2 Chronicles 7:14.

2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

These words were spoken at the dedication of the temple under Solomon. The following verse clearly shows that He would hear the prayers of His people coming from the temple. Now, we don’t have the temple today. So do we just throw this verse out? Of course not.

There are four things that we need to do according to this verse. Humble ourselves, pray, seek His face and turn from our wicked ways. Now, stop what your doing and focus on these for a moment. Humble ourselves, pray, seek His face and turn from our wicked ways.

Are you walking in Humility? Are you walking in Prayer? Are you walking a lifestyle that seeks after His face? Are you walking a path where you turn away from wicked ways?

If you have a moment, I encourage you to write these four things down real quick. Put them somewhere so you will see them throughout the day. When you glance at them, let them test your actions. Let them test your attitudes. Let them test your motivations.

If we are His people and calling ourselves to His name, maybe we should consider making this a regular practice.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
