No More Mr. Nice Guy – Exodus 6:1

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Exodus 6:1
Then YHWH said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: Because of my mighty hand he will let them go; because of my mighty hand he will drive them out of his country.”

Just before this verse, Moses had complained to YHWH because He had not delivered Israel yet. In fact, things had only gotten worse for Israel. Up to this point, everything had been cordial. But there comes a time when even YHWH says “Enough is enough.”

As I’ve said before, YHWH may miss a lot of opportunities to be early but He’s never late. YHWH seems to always wait to the last when it comes to giving judgement. He’s kind and merciful to all. He truly wants no one to perish but all to come to repentance. Just as much as we may want YHWH to pour vengeance out on our enemies, He hopes they will repent so He doesn’t have to.

He even gave Pharaoh the opportunity to change his mind on his own before he started hardening his heart to make an example of him.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
