Please… leave? – Mark 5:14-17

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Mark 5:14-17
Those tending the pigs ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. Those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon-possessed man — and told about the pigs as well. Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region.

I once saw a church sign that said “No perfect people allowed.” I thought “How sad. They don’t even let Yeshua in.” Now, I know that wasn’t the intention of the sign. It was talking about people who think their perfect or at least look down on others as if they are.

Yet, here we see people from a whole town pleading with Yeshua to leave their area. While we may think that is the strangest thing ever, have you ever heard the phrase “Actions speak louder than words?” What are your actions saying to Yeshua?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
