Purify Ourselves – 2 Corinthians 7:1

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

2 Corinthians 7:1
Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.

So do you focus your life on “perfecting holiness out of reverence for God?” I don’t know about you but this is an impacting verse to me? Do you live your life in reverence to YHWH? Do you make all of your decisions out of reverence for Him? If He were right next to you in the physical, would you live differently?

We all know YHWH is everywhere and He virtually IS right next to us. But let’s face it, there are times when we may not live like it. There are times when we allow compromise to take over and then we justify that compromise all we can.

Have you ever asked yourself “What contaminates my body and spirit?” What do we allow in our lives that can do this? Anything that breaks the heart of YHWH should break our hearts as well. This could actually be a good rule of thumb of what we allow into our lives. If it breaks His heart, we should want nothing to do with it.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
