Pursue Greatness – Matthew 5:19

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Matthew 5:19
Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Did you catch that? You can get into the kingdom and not follow Torah. Now, those who pursue that path will indeed be considered least in the kingdom. Yet, does that mean everyone who chooses to not follow Torah will make it into the kingdom? No. Yeshua is actually referencing Numbers chapter 15. It’s in this chapter where YHWH makes provisions for the congregation who has been disobedient without knowing it.

Yet, it’s in that same chapter of Numbers that we see those who rebel against the Torah are cut off from the community. So Yeshua is not giving something new here. He is actually stating what YHWH said long ago.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
