Rags to Riches – Genesis 41:41-42

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Genesis 41:41-42
So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt.” 42 Then Pharaoh took his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck.

Hours before this moment happened, Joseph was in prison. In a prison where he had been for years. In a prison where he had done nothing to deserve to be there to begin with. When he got up that morning, it was no different than any other day. He was most likely going through the same routines as he had every day before.

Suddenly his day was interrupted with the news that he was to appear before Pharaoh. The rest, as they say, is history. Everything changed in one day. In a moment, he went from being one of the least to being second in command over all Egypt. Second in command. A true rags to riches story lived out in real life.

Don’t give up in being faithful to YHWH. Your time will come.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
