Reason – Jeremiah 32:25-27

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Jeremiah 32:25-27
And though the city will be handed over to the Babylonians, you, O Sovereign YHWH, say to me, “Buy the field with silver and have the transaction witnessed.” Then the word of YHWH came to Jeremiah: “I am YHWH, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

Judgement is about to come down on Israel because of their rebellion. Babylon has pretty much surrounded the area and is prepping for the invasion. Then, in the midst of witnessing the preparation for the invasion, YHWH tells Jeremiah to buy a piece of property. Can you imagine all the questions going through Jeremiah’s head. It is believed by some that the land YHWH had Jeremiah buy was to hide the ark of the covenant and many other things in the temple before the invasion. Regardless of the purpose, Jeremiah was baffled.

Have you ever sensed YHWH wanting you to do something that just made absolutely no sense in the physical? Whether you have or not, don’t trust your own understanding. If He’s telling you to do something, whether you understand it or not, there’s a reason.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
