Run to the Battle – 1 Samuel 17:48

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 Samuel 17:48
As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him.

David’s faith and trust was founded and set in YHWH. The moment Goliath began to position himself against David, David ran to meet the challenge. He didn’t pause for a moment. There was no hesitation in his heart. He knew who he stood for and he knew who was standing behind him.

Of course, we all know how the story ends. David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down Goliath and killed him.

Don’t look at what you can or can’t do. That’s completely irrelevant. Your gifts, talents and abilities are nothing if you are not letting YHWH use them. Just as a finely tuned guitar can do nothing without a musician, we can do nothing without YHWH.

Are you letting YHWH use you today? Or are you reserved in answering His call in your life because you might be looking at yourself instead of Him? Focus on Him today and everyday. Run to the battle without hesitation. Let Him work in your life.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
