Sad Day in the Kingdom – 2 Corinthians 2:17

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

2 Corinthians 2:17
Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God.

Back in the day when I lead the music for a small church, I had a lady in the congregation give me 5 possibilities of what that morning’s message was going to be on from our Pastor. The message for that day was indeed one of those 5 she said. I asked how she knew. Long story short, our pastor was getting his messages from a preacher on the radio.

One day I had an individual share with me how a minister was taking our daily devotions and using content from them for messages and FaceBook posts as if it all originated from him. While I was flattered that this guy was using my material, I was saddened just the same. Saddened that ministers….. Ministers…. can’t get one on one with the Father to hear what He’s speaking to them to share.

It’s a sad day in the Kingdom when YHWH’s leaders can’t hear His voice for themselves. Whether you are a leader or not, make it a point that you focus on hearing YHWH’s voice for yourself.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
