Say What He Says – 1 Kings 22:12-14

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 Kings 22:12-14
All the other prophets were prophesying the same thing. “Attack Ramoth Gilead and be victorious,” they said, “for YHWH will give it into the king’s hand.” The messenger who had gone to summon Micaiah said to him, “Look, as one man the other prophets are predicting success for the king. Let your word agree with theirs, and speak favorably.” But Micaiah said, “As surely as YHWH lives, I can tell him only what YHWH tells me.”

Everybody wants to hear the positive. Everybody wants to hear the “Happy news.” Everybody wants to hear the words that promote encouragement and joy. Yet, that isn’t always what we are to proclaim. The bottom line is, we as servants of YHWH have to declare that which he puts on our hearts, even if it’s not what the masses want to hear.

Like the prophet Micaiah, we may have people all around us wanting us to just say things that make them feel good. Yet, there may be times when that is not what the Father is wanting you to say. Are you willing to say what YHWH is giving you? Or do you give in to the pressure?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
