Something Different – Genesis 41:38

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Genesis 41:38
So Pharaoh asked them, “Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the spirit of God?”

In speaking about Joseph, the Hebrew text implies that Pharaoh could have said “in whom is the spirit of gods.” This truly makes sense as the culture of Egypt contained multiple gods. Yet, regardless of how one wants to interpret that part of the verse, there is little doubt that this was a huge complement to Joseph. It was obvious to Pharaoh and all others that Joseph possessed wisdom that most all others didn’t have.

So, do people see in you something different? Do they see the Spirit of YHWH working in your life? Can they see the Spirit of YHWH exemplifying His traits through you? Are you letting the Spirit work in your life or does the Spirit have to work to be in your life? We have to make the choice everyday to walk in the ways of YHWH. To let others see Him and not us. When we do, others will notice it.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
