Sowing – 2 Corinthians 9:6-7

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

2 Corinthians 9:6-7
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

I’ve always done my best to not teach much on money. I’ve just seen it abused from pulpits too much. Even when I was a Pastor I made it a point to never take offerings. We simply put a basket in the back for people to put their offerings in. I felt that best matches what was done in Yeshua’s time according to Mark 12:41.

That all being the case, there are scriptures that do encourage us in how we are to give. Our verse today is one of them. The principle of reaping what we sow is definitely given here. But I think verse 7 is my favorite part. I encourage you to read verses 8 through 11 when you can. Find a ministry that you believe you should support and do so as you feel led.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
