Sowing – Galatians 6:7-8

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Galatians 6:7
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

What an incredible verse! So profound, yet so basic and fundamental. A man reaps what he sows. So, what are you sowing? Are you living life with the mindset to please the Spirit? When you get up in the morning, are you attentive to listening to the Spirit or are you focused on the desires of your sinful nature?

Everyone has varying differences in their sinful nature. From lust, greed, fear, control, mockery, and so many others, we have to be honest with ourselves and examine our lives closely to really see what we are feeding. If we are feeding those sinful desires, this verse tells us straight out that we will reap destruction from those desires.

When it comes to what you sow, remember the first four words of verse seven. “Do not be deceived.”

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
