Spiritual Fervor – Romans 12:11

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Romans 12:11
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

For some people this simply comes natural. For others, it’s not so easy. Yet, even for those to whom it comes naturally, there will still come those days when you feel like you’re at the bottom of the valley. Times when you feel like the sun hasn’t come out for days in your walk with the Lord. Those are definitely the times when it feels like life is just a roller coaster of emotions being thrown at you. And many of those times it feels like no matter what you do, the roller coaster just won’t slow down. Those are the days we are forced to remember that mountain top experiences don’t last forever.

So what do we do when facing those days? How do we overcome those feelings and emotions that can just seem to drag you down? We overcome by working through them. We use them for a time of building our strength. Is it easy. Of course not. But it’s always worth it.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
